Former Wests Tigers winger Pat Richards racked up 38 points as Wigan stayed top of the Super League with a thumping 58-0 win over Catalans Dragons.

The 28-year-old scored five tries and kicked nine points for the Warriors as they ran riot at the DW Stadium.

It means Wigan keep up their 100 per cent record under former Melbourne Storm assistant coach Maguire and sit top of Super League as the only undefeated side.

Richards had already wrapped up his hat-trick before the interval and added a fourth before the break as Wigan led 36-0 going into the second half.

Sean O'Loughlin and Darrell Goulding also scored tries in the first half before a double from ex-Newcastle Knights centre George Carmont and one from New Zealand international Thomas Leuluai completed the scoring.

Richards' 38-point haul sits second in Super League's all-time records - just four points behind former Great Britain half-back Iestyn Harris who scored 42 for Leeds against Huddersfield in 1999.

Tries from Australian duo Chris Hicks and Matt King were enough to give Warrington victory as they got their campaign back on track with a 14-10 win at Huddersfield.

Ex-Melbourne back King broke the deadlock inside the first two minutes to put Warrington - who defeated the Giants in the Challenge Cup final at Wembley last August - into the lead.

But scores from Kevin Brown and ex-Wests Tigers man Paul Whatuira put Nathan Brown's men ahead.

Shaun Ainscough scored a hat-trick on his Castleford debut - but it wasn't enough to give the Tigers victory as they lost 24-20 to Hull Kingston Rovers.

Ainscough, who signed a one-month loan deal from Wigan earlier in the week, thought he had won the two points for Cas when his treble and Michael Wainwright's try gave them the upper hand late on.

But 19-year-old Rovers prop Liam Watts scored his first ever Super League try in the dying seconds to ensure Rovers earned a dramatic win.

Ben Cockayne, Scott Murrell and ex-Canberra half-back Michael Dobson had all scored tries for Rovers before Watts' late heroics.

Veteran hooker Kieron Cunningham scored a try on his 500th St Helens appearance as they downed resolute Wakefield 22-16 at Knowsley Road.

Daryl Millard - an off-season acquisition from Canterbury Bulldogs - scored either side of the interval for Wakefield while rookie centre Dale Morton also touched down for the Wildcats.

But tries from Jonny Lomax, Kyle Eastmond, Cunningham and former New Zealand Warriors back Francis Meli were enough for Mick Potter's men.

Former Australian Test forward Craig Fitzgibbon was amongst the scorers as Hull FC recorded a 28-4 win over lowly Harlequins.

The 32-year-old - a recent signing from Sydney Roosters - opened the scoring for the Airlie Birds before Kirk Yeaman gave them a 12-0 half-time lead.

Craig Hall and Danny Tickle bundled over before Tony Clubb got Harlequins on the board with a solo try but Richard Horne wrapped up the win for Hull.
