Rovers slay Dragons to go second in UK
Hull Kingston Rovers moved into second place in the Super League with a comprehensive 44-10, eight-try win over Catalans Dragons on Sunday.
Rovers were 18-0 ahead inside 25 minutes with tries from Liam Colbon, Scott Murrell and Ben Galea.
Clint Greenshields reduced the deficit before half-time but Rovers sealed the win with second-half tries from a Jake Webster double and further tries from Galea and Michael Dobson.
Dimitri Pelo added a second try for the Dragons, who have now lost seven of their 11 league games this season.
Chris Hicks was the star of the show as Warrington grabbed their second Super League win on the bounce with a 40-18 win over Huddersfield.
It was a second successive hat-trick for Hicks following his treble against Bradford.
Super League newboys Celtic Crusaders were still left waiting for a first win after suffering a tenth straight defeat, 34-22 at the hands of Castleford.
The visitors did though have to fight back from 16-12 down at half-time after Ryan O'Hara, Adam Peek and David Tangata-Toa scored tries for the Welsh club, with Ryan Boyle and James Evans touching down for the Tigers.
A second O'Hara try gave the Crusaders hope of a first-ever top-flight win.
But Castleford came on strong after the break with Michael Wainwright, Kirk Dixon, Michael Shenton and Brent Sherwin all scoring tries.
Wigan completed a 40-26 rout against Wakefield as Shaun Ainscough scored four-times in a seven-try romp.
Ainscough had a first-half treble as Wigan edged it 22-20 at the break.
Late tries from Cameron Phelps and Martin Gleeson ensured an ultimately convincing Wigan win.
