Aussie duo lead Dragons into play-offs
Australian stars Casey McGuire and Adam Mogg inspired Catalans Dragons to a 24-12 win over St Helens on Friday which guaranteed a place in the Super League play-offs.
The Dragons' first victory at Knowsley Road also meant that Bradford Bulls missed out on a top eight place for the first time since the Super League was introduced in 1998.
McGuire scored one of Catalans' four tries with Clint Greenshields, Dimitri Pelo and Olivier Elima also crossing while Keiron Cunningham and Tony Puletua went over for the hosts.
Bradford won 21-18 at Hull but they knew going into the match that as well as needing to secure a fifth successive win, they required St Helens to see off Catalans Dragons.
Reigning champions Leeds survived a late fightback from Salford to earn a 30-24 victory, which put the seal on the League Leader's Shield.
