Leeds make most of Wigan's miss
Wigan's Pat Richards missed a last-minute, 50m touchline penalty as Leeds won a thrilling Super League play-off 27-26 on Sunday to move within 80 minutes of another Grand Final.
In a topsy-turvy game, Richards scored his 30th try of the season, followed by a penalty to tie the scores at 26-26 before Leeds skipper Kevin Sinfield was successful with a drop goal.
Leeds then conceded a last-minute penalty which proved too long for Richards to convert, leaving the reigning champions in the semi-finals while Wigan have to face Hull KR on Friday in a do-or-die play-off.
