Hawthorn's Breust a Rising Star nominee
Hawthorn midfielder Luke Breust has won the AFL Rising Star nomination for Round 15.
Breust impressed the judges with five marks and 16 possessions on the weekend, despite the Hawks' 15.16 (106) to 9.11 (65) defeat at the hands of Collingwood at the MCG.
The number 47 draft pick has played eight senior games this year after debuting in round 8.
Hawthorn coach Alastair Clarkson said Breust, 20, had shown why he has earned his spot on the senior side.
"Luke has impressed with his hard work and determination, and is most deserving of this nomination," Clarkson said.
The nomination puts Breust in contention to be named the 2011 AFL Rising Star.
