Fremantle's Palmer wins Rising Star
Fremantle's Rhys Palmer is the winner of the AFL's Rising Star nomination for round three.
Palmer was one of the Dockers' best in their 14-point win over West Coast last Saturday at Subiaco Oval despite suffering a nasty gash to the head early in the game, which required metal staples.
He returned to the field and finished the game with 24 disposals, which included 17 in the first half.
Palmer, 19, also gathered 22 possessions in his debut the previous week, against Hawthorn.
The midfielder was the No.7 pick in last year's national draft and recruited from East Fremantle.
