Redden nominated for Rising Star
Brisbane Lions midfielder Jack Redden has become the second player from South Australia's Kowree Naracoorte Tatiara Football League (KNTFL) to be nominated for the 2010 AFL Rising Star Award.
The tough-tackling Redden picked up the round 15 nomination after amassing 22 disposals in Saturday night's loss to St Kilda at the Gabba.
Redden debuted for the Lions in round 15 last year and has remained in the senior side ever since.
The 19-year began his career with the Keith Junior Football Club in country South Australia, before joining Glenelg and then being picked up by the Lions with pick 25 in the 2008 national draft.
Highly-rated Melbourne youngster Jack Trengove also began his career in the KNTFL with Kybyolite.
Redden is the third Brisbane Lion to be nominated for the 2010 Rising Star, following Todd Banfield and Tom Rockliff.
