Jockey Fallon charged in UK fixing probe
Former champion jockey Kieren Fallon was charged with conspiracy to defraud following a long-running police investigation of alleged race fixing.
Former racing syndicate director Miles Rodgers, 37, was also charged with conspiracy to defraud and an offence under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
The alleged offences occurred between December 2002 and September 2004, police said.
Fallon, 41, won his second Irish Derby in a row, riding 9-2 favourite Dylan Thomas to victory at the Curragh.
City of London Police, who are based in the financial district and are specialists in fraud investigations, have been probing the sport for more than two years.
