Hawks in anxious wait over Franklin
Hawthorn is waiting anxiously to learn what action the AFL match review panel takes over star forward Lance Franklin.
Franklin could be facing suspension after being reported for making head-high contact with Adelaide's Michael Doughty in Saturday night's four-point win over the Crows in Adelaide.
Franklin leads the AFL goalkicking and any suspension would be a major blow for the Hawks midway through the season.
"He was going for the ball so we'll wait and see what the match review panel says," team-mate Tim Clarke said.
It is understood Franklin has no applicable tribunal record, so he may escape with a reprimand for an early plea if the panel finds he engaged in rough conduct.
Clarke also said team-mate Chance Bateman will miss a couple of weeks with a hamstring injury.
