Bosnich gets international ban
Mark Bosnich has been suspended from international soccer pending the outcome of a disciplinary hearing, the Football Association said.
The case against Bosnich, who tested positive for cocaine last November, was adjourned until next week at the earliest.
"His suspension will continue until such a time that his case can be heard and has now been extended worldwide," the FA said on its website.
The former Socceroo goalkeeper says he took the drug unwittingly when his drink was spiked at a London nightclub.
Neither the FA nor Bosnich's agent could say when the misconduct hearing, which had been expected to last two days, would recommence.
But BBC radio was reporting that it would resume next week.
Bosnich, 31, faces a one-year ban if the FA panel finds him guilty of misconduct.
He tested positive last year while he was contracted to west London club Chelsea.
Chelsea initially suspended him from his STG42,000 ($A116,000)-a-week contract and formally sacked him last month.
His appeal against his sacking was rejected last week by a Premier League tribunal and Bosnich must now decide whether to appeal to another body or take the matter to a civil court.
