Banahan charged over lifting tackle

England winger Matt Banahan will face a disciplinary hearing on Wednesday after being cited over a dangerous tackle in his side's 15-9 win over the Australian Barbarians on Tuesday night.
South African citing commissioner Andrew Prior charged Banahan over a 26th minute lifting tackle on Barbarians centre Berrick Barnes at Bluetongue Stadium in Gosford.
Judicial Officer Peter Hobbs from New Zealand will conduct the hearing at Australian Rugby Union offices on Wednesday.
