Adelaide 36ers outgun Slingers 111-93
The Adelaide 36ers have won their second straight game with a 111-93 victory over Singapore to stay in touch with the NBL's top eight.
The Sixers, who have had a slow start to the season after missing the playoffs last year, are in tenth place with a 4-6 record, just behind the eighth-placed Perth Wildcats (4-5).
Adelaide import Mike Chappell tallied a game-high 30 points to pace the visitors at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, backed up by veteran Lanard Copeland's 20 points and a 19-point haul to point guard Brad Davidson.
Impressive Slingers import Rod Grizzard led the home side with 27 points and 11 boards before fouling out, with big man Blagoj Janev adding 22 points.
Forward Ben Knight added 16 points and 16 rebounds for Singapore, who are stuck on the bottom of the ladder with a 2-10 record.
After a solid win over perennial playoff contenders Perth last round, Singapore have since slipped up against the Breakers in New Zealand and now Adelaide.
