Dragons win thriller over 36ers
The South Dragons secured a gutsy 107-102 victory over the Adelaide 36ers at the Distinctive Homes Dome in Adelaide.
With both sides fighting for a spot in the NBL's top eight it was the 36ers who led for most of the night, but the determined Dragons stayed in touch before prevailing with a powerful final-term display.
Despite losing its first six games the new franchise remains on course for an historic finals appearance in its debut season.
Rosell Ellis was magnificent for the Dragons with a 30-point haul, with the young Joe Ingles (23) and import Kavossy Franklin (19) also superb.
36ers captain Brett Maher produced a fine all-round performance to finish with 24 points, while Nick Horvath chipped in with 21 and Willie Farley delivered some trademark magic moments to finish with 18.
