The Gold Coast Blaze produced a stunning fightback to overcome the Adelaide 36ers 98-94 at the Distinctive Homes Dome in Adelaide.

After trailing by 16 points early in the second term the NBL's new kid on the block stormed back to turn the match into a shoot-out, with only a brace of baskets in the dying seconds from Jason Crowe finally seeing off the homeside's challenge.

Crowe top scored for the Blaze with 26 points, while Pero Cameron (20) and Californian Juaquin Hawkins (15) also played vital roles in the fightback.

For the 36ers it was Adam Ballinger and Brett Maher providing most of the resistance with 24 points each, while Mike Chappell showed improved form with 14 points.
