Dragons' Weyman could miss six games
NSW prop Michael Weyman could miss six games after copping a serious dangerous tackle charge from the NRL match review committee.
Weyman will miss four matches, including State of Origin III, if he enters the early guilty plea but will be sidelined for six if he unsuccessfully defends the grade three charge at the judiciary.
The St George Illawarra forward was placed on report for an ugly 48th-minute spear tackle on Wests Tigers fullback Wade McKinnon during Friday night's 34-10 Dragons victory at WIN Jubilee Oval.
The Dragons have until 12pm on Tuesday to decide whether to challenge the charge.
They are already down one regular first grade front-rower in Dan Hunt, who is out for the season with a ruptured Achilles.
Newcastle prop Ben Cross will escape a ban with the early plea after he was charged with making contact with a referee.
Cross has received a grade one charge for a 15th-minute incident in Sunday's 24-16 win over Gold Coast at Skilled Park.
He will miss one game if he unsuccessfully defends the charge at the judiciary.
