Ben Rogers facing two-match NRL ban
Newcastle five-eighth Ben Rogers is facing two weeks on the sidelines after being charged by the NRL match review committee for a grade one dangerous throw.
The incident happened in the 63rd minute of the Knights' loss to the Wests Tigers on Friday night, and thanks to 72 carry-over points, Rogers will cop two weeks if he takes the early guilty plea.
If he fights the charge and loses, he will also miss two matches.
South Sydney fullback Rhys Wesser is the only other player to have been charged from the weekend's action so far, but he will escape suspension.
Wesser was slapped with a grade-one careless high tackle from the third minute of the Rabbitohs' loss to the Warriors, but due to his clean record he won't miss a week whether he fights the charge or not.
