Bulls' Kirchner banned for two weeks
Bulls fullback Zane Kirchner has been suspended for two weeks for a spear tackle, the South African Rugby Union has announced.
A Super 14 disciplinary committee found him guilty of a dangerous tackle on Lions winger Dusty Noble in Friday's match.
Kirchner was red carded for the offence in the Bulls' 31-17 victory.
Bulls lock Bakkies Botha was cleared on a charge of head-butting at the same hearing. He had been yellow carded for the alleged offence at the same time as Kirchner was dismissed.
Kirchner will miss the Bulls' matches against the Queensland Reds in Brisbane on Saturday and the Chiefs in Rotorua a week later.
