Fevola named in Lions squad
Brisbane look set to expose Brendan Fevola to more scrutiny on Saturday, naming him to play in their AFL pre-season match against Geelong despite the Lara Bingle nude photo scandal.
The match will send Fevola back to his former club Carlton's home ground for the second successive week.
The AFL have moved Saturday's game from the Gold Coast to Melbourne's Princes Park following torrential rain in south-east Queensland this week.
Fevola already has his own storm clouds overhead after model Bingle declared this week she would sue the forward over the circulation of a nude picture of her taken during their brief affair in 2006.
The AFL has launched an investigation into the matter.
Despite a torrid week, Fevola has been included in the squad for the Lions' clash with premiers Geelong, who have beefed up their side markedly from the one beaten by Richmond by 51 points in Yea last weekend.
Brownlow Medallist Gary Ablett and midfield gun Joel Selwood head a quality list of inclusions for the Cats.
Meanwhile, the Western Bulldogs will rest No.1 ruckman Ben Hudson and forward Daniel Giansiracusa from their NAB Cup semi-final against Port Adelaide at Etihad Stadium on Friday night.
Hudson's back-up Will Minson has been included in the Bulldogs' squad, as well as star recruit Barry Hall for his second game for his new club since his off-season trade from Sydney.
Port Adelaide have gone the opposite way, including their top ruckman Dean Brogan for his first match of the season, as well as experienced spearhead Warren Tredrea.
Collingwood recruits Luke Ball and Darren Jolly return to the Magpies side to play Richmond in their pre-season clash at Princes Park on Friday.
But the Tigers have opted to rest a raft of regulars, including Ben Cousins, Brett Deledio and skipper Chris Newman.
