Swans appoint Moore as football manager
Sydney have appointed AFL Football Projects Manager Dean Moore as general manager of football for the Swans.
Moore begins his new role in November, replacing Andrew Ireland who has accepted the position of Swans chief executive.
"After nearly 25 years at the AFL, the decision to leave was not taken lightly, however I knew in my heart this was the right thing to do," Moore said on Monday.
Moore was a team manager for South Melbourne in the late 1970s.
He also served in 2009 on the Swans' Hall of Fame selection committee.
