Leeds stun Saints in Super League clash
Super League champions Leeds defeated bitter rivals St Helens 18-10 on Friday to go two points clear at the top of the table with just one round of matches left in the regular season.
England winger Ryan Hall grabbed a brace of tries in front of a crowd of 19,997 at Headingley.
The win means Leeds need only avoid a heavy defeat in their last match at Salford next Friday to ensure they go into the play-offs in pole position as they seek to wrap up a hat-trick of Super League titles.
Hall's two tries took his season's tally in all matches to 30.
Carl Ablett scored Leeds' other try while Chris Flannery and Lee Gilmour crossed for the visitors who had been 6-0 ahead early in the first half.
Amos Roberts and George Carmont scored two tries each as Wigan saw off Hull 34-22 to make sure of a home tie in the play-offs.
