Morley nabs Dream Team slot
Adrian Morley's successful return to England after a decade in Australia's NRL has been recognised by inclusion in Super League's 2009 dream team.
Morley, now Warrington's captain, last made the dream team in 1999, his last season in Super League before he left Leeds to join Sydney Roosters.
This year's team features eight new faces, including 20-year-old Wigan stand-off Sam Tomkins, who only made his debut four matches into the campaign.
"Things have happened so fast, I can hardly believe it," Tomkins said. "It is a huge honour. There are a lot of very good players in my position and to think I am in there ahead of them feels amazing."
The other newcomers include four players from Hull KR, who are represented in the Dream Team for the first time, plus two first-timers from another of the season's surprise packets Huddersfield.
However, centre Matt Gidley is the sole representative from St Helens, who had five players in the 2008 team.
The Hull KR quartet are winger Peter Fox, scrum-half Michael Dobson and second rowers Ben Galea and Clint Newton while Huddersfield's two representatives are club captain Brett Hodgson and hooker Scott Moore.
England captain Jamie Peacock is again featured in the front row, where he makes his seventh appearance, while Leeds team-mate centre Keith Senior is back after a five-year absence.
