Arthurs and Hanley through to third round
Wayne Arthurs and Paul Hanley moved into the third round of the French Open men's doubles on a day in which no Australians were involved in singles action.
The Australian pair fought from a set down to beat Russia's Andrei Olhovskiy and Armenian Sargis Sargsian 4-6 6-1 6-2.
Alicia Molik teamed with Russian Elena Bovina to beat Japan's Shinobu Asagoe and Nana Miyagi 6-3 6-4 in their second round match.
Veteran Todd Woodbridge had an up and down day, losing his men's doubles second round but winning his first round of the mixed doubles.
Woodbridge and Jonas Bjorkman, last year's Wimbledon champions, struggled to find their rhythm in going down in straight sets to Argentinian pair Lucas Arnold and Mariano Hood 6-1 6-3.
Woodbridge boiled over in the heat after an overrule in the final game of the match.
With Hood serving for the match, Spanish umpire Enri Molina overruled a serve and gave the Argentines the point to go 30-15 at 5-3 rather than calling let.
Woodbridge exploded at Molina and when Hood served out to win the match, the Australian belted his racquet into the umpire's chair and continued arguing with him.
He hit the chair again and walked off court with Molina, continuing his argument.
"That was just all the frustration of the way the game went for us," Woodbridge said.
