Draper handed French Open wild card
Scott Draper has received Australia's sole wildcard berth in next week's French Open after winning a round robin play-off in Paris.
Draper, the Australian No.4 and world No.108, beat teenager Todd Reid in three sets in a rain-delayed match to claim the wildcard.
Draper, 29, will find out who he will face in the first round when the tennis draw is made this Friday.
He will be the fourth Australian man at the French Open, with world No.1 Lleyton Hewitt, Mark Philippoussis (52) and Wayne Arthurs (58) already accepted on the basis of their rankings.
Reid, last year's junior Wimbledon champion, will head to Dusseldorf tomorrow as a hitting partner for Hewitt and Arthurs at the World Team Cup.
