Jason DeLisle successfully rebounded from his last start loss to Danny Green by taking the International Boxing Federation Pan Pacific super middleweight title from fellow Australian John Wyborn at Penrith.

DeLisle was knocked down by a right hand in the 10th round but recovered to earn a close unanimous points decision in the 12 round contest.

He won the judges' approval by margins of one, three and four points.

DeLisle, who was earlier stopped by world title contender Green, improved his record to 12 wins, two draws and two losses.

Fellow New South Welshman Wyborn, who was making the first defence of his title, dropped to 14 wins, 16 losses and three draws.

DeLisle appeared to land the cleaner punches more consistently despite being cut on the left eyebrow in the first round but Wyborn kept pressing throughout.
