Molik knocked out of doubles
Australian Alicia Molik has been knocked out of the Australian Open women's doubles tournament in the third round.
Molik and India's Sania Mirza were eliminated by Israel's Shahar Peer and Belarus teenager Victoria Azarenka 7-5 6-3 at Rod Laver Arena in a one hour and 25 minute match.
Sixth seeds Molik and Mirza had their serve broken in the ninth game of the opening set, then struggled throughout the second to end Molik's involvement in the Open.
The former top 10 player was knocked out of the singles by Czech Nicole Vaidisova in the second round.
