Aussies take centre stage at tennis Open
Lleyton Hewitt and Alicia Molik will be the star attractions on Australia Day at the Australian Open.
Having fought his way through to the quarter-finals for the first time at his home grand slam event, Hewitt will be heavily favoured to beat Argentinian baseliner David Nalbandian in the night match on Rod Laver Arena.
Molik will be the underdog in the women's quarter-finals against top seed Lindsay Davenport, but the Australian is brimming with confidence and is unbeaten in 2005.
The other women's quarter-final pits Frenchwoman Nathalie Dechy against Swiss Patty Schnyder.
Men's number two seed Andy Roddick also takes on Russian Nikolay Davydenko with the prize for the winner a likely semi-final showdown with Hewitt.
