Sharks flanker suspended for two weeks
Sharks flanker Keegan Daniel has been suspended for two weeks for making a dangerous tackle in the 34-16 Super Rugby win over the Brumbies.
Daniel was found guilty on Tuesday by southern hemisphere rugby body SANZAR of making a late and dangerous charge on ACT centre Christian Lealiifano on Saturday in Durban.
SANZAR said Daniel was suspended until May 21, but will miss only one game - versus South African rivals the Bulls - as the Sharks have a bye this weekend.
Daniel was cited for foul play after the game at Kings Park.
Hurricanes scrumhalf Tyson Keats was suspended for four weeks on Monday for a dangerous tip tackle on Blues counterpart Alby Mathewson last Friday.
