Cooper facing one-game ban
North Queensland backrower Gavin Cooper is facing a one-match ban after being charged with a dangerous throw by the NRL match review committee.
Cooper was charged over his 14th minute lifting tackle on Gold Coast prop Ryan James in Friday night's 22-12 win to the Cowboys at Dairy Farmers Stadium.
The former Penrith forward will miss one game with an early guilty plea, but the ban would double if Cooper unsuccessfully contested the grade one infringement.
The Cowboys have until midday on Tuesday to lodge their plea.
