Parker set to play despite NRL charge
Corey Parker was the only player charged by the NRL match review committee on Monday, but the Brisbane lock can escape suspension with an early guilty plea.
Parker was charged with a grade one dangerous throw for his final minute tackle on young Penrith prop Tim Grant on Friday night.
The referee on the night incorrectly put Broncos hooker Aaron Gorrell on report over the incident before the match review committee correctly identified Gorrell as the offender.
An early guilty plea would see Parker collect only 93 demerit points for the offence, freeing him to play in the Suncorp Stadium clash against Parramatta.
