Hodges hit with dangerous tackle charge
Brisbane centre Justin Hodges is the only player charged by the NRL match review committee, but the Test star can escape suspension with an early guilty plea.
Hodges was charged with a grade one dangerous throw in the 23rd minute of the Broncos 26-24 loss to Gold Coast on Friday night.
The charge carried a base penalty of 125-points, but an early plea will reduce that to 93-demerit points.
He has until midday on Tuesday to enter a plea.
Veteran Newcastle hooker Danny Buderus would have been breathing a sigh of relief after he was not charged for his elbow to the head of Sydney Roosters fullback Sam Perrett.
