Scott charged over dangerous NRL tackle
St George Illawarra centre Beau Scott has been charged by the NRL match review committee for leading with his legs as he tried to prevent a try in Sunday's 32-18 win over North Queensland.
Scott has received a grade one charge of dangerous contact with the legs or feet arising out of the 24th minute incident at WIN Stadium.
He was placed on report after he tried in vain to stop Cowboys winger Ty Williams from scoring.
Scott will escape a penalty with an early guilty plea and will miss one week if he unsuccessfully defends the charge at the NRL judiciary.
The Country Origin representative is the only player to be charged following the weekend's round 14 NRL matches.
