Gallen to fight charge at NRL Judiciary
Cronulla skipper Paul Gallen will appear before the NRL judiciary on Wednesday to fight his grade one dangerous contact charge.
Gallen was sanctioned for lashing out at Gold Coast's Beau Henry with his boot in Saturday's 20-16 defeat by the Titans.
The NSW State of Origin captain collected Henry with his boot as the Titans five-eighth clung on to his leg in an attempt to slow down a play-the-ball.
Gallen, who has been charged 15 times by the match review committee in a 10-season career, would have missed one week with an early guilty plea, and will receive the same punishment should his defence prove to be unsuccessful.
Canterbury hooker Joel Romelo will miss the Bulldogs' clash with the Sharks on Monday after pleading guilty to a grade one dangerous throw for a tackle on North Queensland's Tariq Sims on Friday.
