Players cleared for grand final replay
The AFL Tribunal will have no impact on team selections for the grand final replay after the match review panel laid no charges following the draw.
The panel assessed four incidents from the St Kilda-Collingwood MCG match and believed none warranted further action.
It considered an incident between Collingwood's Ben Johnson and Saint Leigh Montagna from the third quarter and believed contact by Johnson was below that required to constitute a reportable offence.
It reached the same conclusion with St Kilda's Brendon Goddard's contact with former teammate Luke Ball.
The panel reviewed Darren Jolly's high contact with Justin Koschitzke in the final quarter and determined that Jolly was attempting to hit the ball back into play, and his action wasn't a striking motion.
St Kilda's Sam Gilbert also intended to spoil when he made high contact with Magpie Leigh Brown in the fourth quarter, with the panel's view that his action also wasn't a striking motion.
