Carlton's Houlihan to face AFL tribunal
Carlton's Ryan Houlihan will be the only player risking suspension this week when he fronts the AFL tribunal on Tuesday night to challenge a rough conduct charge against West Coast's Matt Rosa.
Houlihan was offered a one-game suspension last week by the match review panel for the round 11 incident at Subiaco Oval, but chose to defer the case because the Blues had the week off with the mid-season break.
Carlton plays the Kangaroos at Telstra Dome on Friday night.
The panel laid no charges on Monday, but offered $900 wrestling fines to the Western Bulldogs' Matthew Robbins and Brisbane's Brad Scott, who tangled in the third quarter of last Saturday night's game at the Gabba.
The pair has until 11am (AEST) on Tuesday to decide whether to accept the fines.
The panel opted not to lay charges from incidents involving St Kilda defender Matt Maguire and Adelaide's Martin Mattner at Telstra Dome last Friday night, and high contact by Eagle Mark Nicoski on Port Adelaide ruckman Brendon Lade.
