Hull keen on Lockyer for 2010
English rugby league club Hull Kingston Rovers have expressed interest in signing Brisbane, Queensland and Australian captain Darren Lockyer for the 2010 Super League season.
But Rovers coach Justin Morgan said he expected competition from other Super League clubs.
"The ball is now in Darren's court," Morgan told the Hull Daily Mail.
"We are one of the clubs who have expressed an interest in Darren and we want to see how much desire Darren has in playing for us in England."
Lockyer, 31, is contracted to the Broncos until the end of 2009 but has said he would consider playing in England at some stage.
His manager, George Mimis, has reportedly said "five or six" Super League clubs are interested in signing Lockyer.
The champion five-eighth will miss Sunday's NRL match against Newcastle after scans this week revealed post-operative wear and tear in his reconstructed left knee.
