Richmond snare Port Adelaide's Thomson
Richmond have snared Port Adelaide midfielder Adam Thomson in the first official deal finalised in AFL trade week.
The Tigers have given up their third round pick - No.42 - in November's AFL draft to the Power in exchange for Thomson.
Thomson played 28 matches in four years at the Power after the club selected him with their No.11 pick in the 2004 draft.
The inside on-baller, who failed to break into Port's midfield group, had been courted by three Victorian clubs this week but the Tigers have always been the front-runner to secure his services.
