McKay appointed to new AFL rules role
AFL match review panel chairman Andrew McKay's job will be expanded to include the new role of game analysis manager, in which he will consult with clubs on potential rule changes.
McKay, who played 244 games for Carlton, already serves as a member of the AFL Laws Committee.
League football operations manager Adrian Anderson said topics on which the AFL was currently seeking feedback from clubs included whether to recall umpires' bounces which went off-line and gave a distinct advantage to one team.
They were also looking at whether the width of the goal line should be increased to match the width of the padding around goal posts.
