Aussie Croker extends Super League deal
Australian rugby league second-rower Jason Croker, Super League's oldest player, has extended by a year his contract with Catalan Dragons.
The deal will take Croker, in the second year of a two-year contract with the Dragons, past his 36th birthday.
Coach Mick Potter, who will hand over to Kevin Walters at the end of this season, had nothing but praise for Croker.
"It will be his 18th season as a professional, which is just amazing. Full credit to Jason," he said.
Croker added: "I am very happy to stay with the Dragons next year. I will be 36 then, so it will be probably my last as a player."
Croker was a key player in the Dragons' run to the Challenge Cup final last August and has made 15 appearances so far this year for the third-placed Super League club, and more than 40 since joining last year.
