Blacklock still in Premier League
St George Illawarra winger Nathan Blacklock will play in the Dragons' premier league side on Sunday despite his successful return to rugby league on the weekend.
Blacklock, who came back to league after playing Super 12 rugby for the NSW Waratahs, scored a seventh minute try against South Sydney in a premier league match at the SCG on Sunday.
But Dragons coach Nathan Brown has stuck with the same first grade squad which narrowly beat the Rabbitohs for Sunday's National Rugby League clash with North Queensland at Oki Jubilee Stadium.
Blacklock, who scored a record 27 tries for the Dragons in the 2001 season, will play against Balmain in the lower division.
Meanwhile, former Canberra enforcer Quentin Pongia has ended a stint with French club Villeneuve Leopards and will arrive in Sydney on Friday.
The 32-year-old prop, who last played in the NRL for the Sydney Roosters in 2001, will be used by the Dragons as a back-up for NSW props Jason Ryles and Luke Bailey during the hectic representative season.
