Aussie's ban upheld for biting in UK footy
Harlequins centre David Howell has failed in a bid to overturn a six-match ban imposed for biting an opponent in the English Super League.
The Australian was given the suspension after being found guilty of biting Catalan Dragons scrum-half Remy Marginet during his side's defeat in Perpignan 10 days ago.
Howell, whose plea was thrown out by a Rugby Football League appeals panel, will sit out Quins' last four matches of this season and miss the start of their 2012 campaign.
