Cross likely to miss Origin II
NSW State of Origin prop Ben Cross is almost certain to miss game two after scans confirmed he has a broken thumb.
The Macquarie radio network reported that Cross is expected to be sidelined for 3-4 weeks, meaning he would be unavailable for the June 11 clash with Queensland at Suncorp Stadium.
The Newcastle front-rower picked up the injury in Wednesday's 18-10 win to the Blues at ANZ Stadium.
Cross made his Origin debut at the age of 29 in game one after being a part of Blues coach Craig Bellamy's premiership winning Melbourne side last year.
Newcastle officials were unavailable to confirm the report.
