NSW fullback Josh Dugan to miss Origin II
NSW fullback Josh Dugan has been ruled of next week's second State of Origin match with an ankle injury.
Scans have confirmed he has syndesmosis of his right ankle and will be sidelined for 3-5 weeks.
Dugan will be out of action for 3-5 weeks.
Blues officials have been informed of the scan results.
Dugan said he was devastated to be missing the second Origin match but remained hopeful he would be fit to return for the third game in Brisbane on July 6.
"It's very disappointing to be ruled out with injury, but I just have to concentrate on my rehab and make sure I'm right to go for the Raiders as soon as possible," Dugan said in a statement.
"I'll be doing everything I can to get back onto the field for Canberra and get myself back to 100 per cent.
"If I can do that hopefully I can be selected for game three for NSW."
