Canterbury and Queensland prop Ben Hannant is in doubt for State of Origin game one after undergoing knee surgery.

Hannant is expected to miss at least a month after suffering the injury during the Bulldogs' 36-18 win over Brisbane on Friday night, Fox Sports reported on Monday.

That would leave the Test prop struggling to be fit in time for Origin I at ANZ Stadium on May 26.

Hannant adds to a long injury list at the Bulldogs, with centre Josh Morris also requiring surgery for a fractured eye socket suffered in the same game.

Five-eighth Ben Roberts is expected to miss several weeks with an ankle injury.
