Cahill the man to fix Everton torpor
Socceroo star Tim Cahill has been identified by Everton manager David Moyes as the man to score the goals and rescue the English Premier League club's season.
Moyes admits failing to lure Nicolas Anelka from Turkish club Fenerbahce to cure the Everton's goalscoring blues.
The club has also sold striker Marcus Bent to Charlton, so now Moyes is putting the goal onus upon Cahill, who looks set to be played up forward.
"We need a striker and we needed one when Marcus Bent was here, so nothing has changed," Moyes said.
"All the names that everyone talked about were done with a long time ago, and Anelka's not happening.
"But I'd have no qualms about playing Tim up front if I had to.
"He's not bad in the air, he is willing to work and he played at centre-forward for most of the game against Portsmouth."
