Farina names full strength Socceroos
Socceroos coach Frank Farina has named a full strength team including eight premier league players for the international match against Norway.
The out of touch Mark Viduka and Harry Kewell will combine up front as Australia's strike pair, with Brett Emerton up forward with them, while Middlesbrough goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer will captain the side.
All 20 players reported to training at Craven Cottage in Fulham fully fit with no injuries hanging over from weekend matches.
Most of the England-based players assembled in London on Sunday night, with Marco Bresciano, Vince Grella, Josip Skoko, Mile Sterjovski and Scott Chipperfield joining their team-mates on Monday afternoon after playing in Europe on the weekend while Ahmad Elrich flew in from Korea.
Tim Cahill, enjoying a great run at Everton which is sitting in third place in the premier league, edged out Grella in the midfield while 36-year-old Tony Vidmar kept his place in defence for the match at Craven Cottage.
Viduka is back in Socceroo colours for the first time since Australia's 1-0 win over South Africa in London in March and Farina saw him play in Middlesbrough's 2-1 win over West Bromwich Albion on Sunday.
Farina also saw Kewell return to some sort of form as he set up two goals for Liverpool in its 3-2 win over Tony Popovic's Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Australia: Mark Schwarzer, Lucas Neill, Tony Popovic, Tony Vidmar, Stan Lazaridis, Tim Cahill, Josip Skoko, Marco Bresciano, Brett Emerton, Mark Viduka, Harry Kewell. Substitutes: Jon McKain, Vince Grella, Scott Chipperfield, Mile Sterjovski, Ahmad Elrich, Steve Laybutt, Zeljko Kalac, Kevin Muscat, Danny Tiatto.
