Teen Pressel gets LPGA Tour membership
Teenager Morgan Pressel has been given full LPGA tour membership for the 2006 season after the Ladies Professional Golf Association reversed an earlier ruling.
The LPGA previously said the US Women's Amateur champion would have to wait until her 18th birthday on May 23 for full membership.
However, LPGA commissioner Carolyn Bivens called the 17-year-old on Monday to say an exception had been made.
Pressel played in seven LPGA events this year and tied for second in the US Women's Open.
She earned her LPGA card by tying for sixth place in the LPGA qualifying tournament.
