AFL club memberships increase by 8%
The AFL have reported an eight per cent jump in club membership as the league remains on course for record crowds this season.
At the June 30 deadline, the total membership figure for the 16 clubs was 574,091, up from last year's 532,697, also a record.
The league have also had 10 rounds this season with total crowds of 300,000 or more, putting them on track to beat last year's records of 6,475,521 for the regular season and 7,049,945 for entire competition.
Adelaide, St Kilda, Sydney, West Coast and the Western Bulldogs were the only clubs to report membership decreases.
