Australian tennis star Patrick Rafter has married his long-time love Lara Feltham at a resort in Fiji.

A staff member at the Musket Cove Island Resort said Rafter, 31, and former model Feltham married at about 5pm Fiji time (7pm AEST) Sunday at a private home at the resort.

About 50 guests turned out for the secret ceremony, held on what the staff member described as a lovely Fiji day with a nice sunset.

It was a good wedding and everyone looked happy, she said.

The couple were introduced in 1997 at a charity event in Sydney for the Starlight Children's Foundation.

They have a 20-month-old son Joshua, who flew out to Fiji with Rafter on Friday for the ceremony.

The 240ha resort is located on Malolo Lailai Island, 15km west of Fiji's third largest city, Nadi.
