Jana Pittman pregnant with first child
Track star Jana Pittman is pregnant with her first child.
Pittman, the gold medallist in the Commonwealth Games 400 metres hurdles, married her coach Chris Rawlinson at a beachside estate in March.
The couple are now expecting their first child with Pittman, 23, due in December, according to media reports.
She is not expected back on the athletics track until next year when she will start preparations for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
"We only had a one-month window to conceive before it would eat into my world champs preparation, so it has worked out perfectly. We are over the moon," she said, as quoted by The Australian.
Despite being 12 weeks pregnant, Pittman, who now prefers to call herself by her married name Rawlinson, is still training twice a day.
