McGrath reloads for Lara
Glenn McGrath expects his bowling to be at full strength on Friday when he receives his final chances this summer to remove West Indian captain Brian Lara in Antigua.
The great McGrath-Lara rivalry has barely flared this series with the Australian quick missing the opening two matches before settling back into his rhythm in the tourists' excellent win in the third Test in Bridgetown.
Lara made 14 and 42 in that Test while McGrath failed to take a wicket for only the third time in his 92-match career.
McGrath has claimed Lara a record 13 times in Tests and the right-armer said he felt ready for the final Test at St John's after conceding only 64 runs from his 36 overs on a tough bowling track in Bridgetown.
"It was pretty tough to bowl on but equally tough to bat on as the game went on so for me it wasn't a good Test cricket wicket for anything," McGrath said.
"The bowlers had to work hard and I got 30-odd overs under my belt and felt like I got better as the game went on.
"Some people have always said I'm a bit of a slow starter getting back in, but it's just a matter of getting some overs under the belt and at this stage I worry more about the process rather than the result.
"I was happy with the way I bowled and I feel like if I bowl as well as that in the next Test then I will get wickets."
Lara was virtually unstoppable in the opening two matches without McGrath, making 349 runs at an average of 87.25, including two centuries.
Queenslander Andrew Bichel has become Lara's nemesis in the series, claiming his wicket three times to LBW decisions.
